Biophilic Skin / Product Design

Biophilic Skin

In cities, adequate vegetation can improve air quality, assist in regulating climate. Plants should ’ ve been a key role to make harmony between humans and nature. However, the spaces for plants always be occupied and it causes a series of environmental problems which makes a city become uninhabitable.
To increase vegetation area, we chose moss as the medium, combined with environmental-friendly TPE material to make a three-dimensional structure. It can cover the outside of the building with strong ductility, just like an architectural skin. It can absorb moisture, purify the air, and reduce the indoor temperature.
