EggTag / Food freshness

EggTag
EggTag

An estimate of one-third of worldwide food production, an equivalent of 1.3 billion tons, ends up in trash bins, as our quantitative research points, unconscious of food freshness accounts for 37% of the food wastes. To increase the awareness of food quality and promote responsible consumption, we propose EggTag, a carbon-dioxide sensitive label to inform consumers with the freshness of eggs by colour shift.
