Atlantis / Sea turtles protection

The conservation of the endangered species of Loggerhead sea turtles calls for scientists, NGOs, authorities and the large population to come and act together. Atlantis is the product of a collaboration between scientists and designers, that created novel tools to analyse complex behaviours of turtles and ultimately better protect them.

Atlantis translates raw tracking data collected on real turtles in Cape Verde into a 3D visualisation, shortening data interpretation time for the scientists. By using the same principle in virtual reality, it is also an educational tool used by local NGOs to extend their conservation effort.
