The Orquidaria solves various urban problems at different scales as well as meeting
local commercial demand. After obtaining the lot license for converting the urban void into a meeting place, questions of insecurity and vulnerability had to be tackled. The physical and visual permeability in the gardens and large open areas entice pedestrians and banish the feeling of insecurity of both the street and the
permanent environmental protection area in the backyard. Another highlight is the interaction between the user and the space arising from the creation of resting areas and contemplation experiences, going beyond the client’s expectations.
