Bukak-Maeul makes traditional Korean food, Kimbukak with local villagers by handmade to produce the best, even if it is slow. And they wanted this way and spirit to be kept for a long time. We wanted their earnest hearts to be included in this project. After a long study, we realized that the tree ring was the key to express the identity of the Bukak-Maeul. Currently, most of the companies that produce Kimbukak in Korea have stereotyped designs. We focused on using challenging motifs to break down this framework and express the invisible part of the them. Because our goal was to keep their precious stories in the design for a long time.
