Self Reliance for Her / Life skills courses for vulnerable women

Self Reliance for Her

Vulnerable women globally lack adequate life and workplace skills, preventing them from becoming self-reliant. Refugee women especially are less likely to have the skills to independently flourish in their new communities. We run two programs to help women acquire and retain jobs: a mobile-based course to teach basic life skills, including financial literacy and women’s rights, and an apprenticeship program to teach personal and workplace development. The course collects anonymised demographic information to help local governments and humanitarian providers conduct needs-assessment of the learners and plots the information geographically.
