Digital Superheroes Academy / Educational app on life skills for children

In 2017, BDF launched the Digital Superheroes Academy (DSHA). The DSHA is a web-based educational program that delivers a curriculum of 7 essential life skills (e.g. child rights, waste management, and internet safety) to marginalized children. This digital platform is also available as an open source app and has courses translated into Thai, Thai Yai, Burmese, and English languages. Children are taught how to use this app and consequently gain tech literacy – an essential skill for future opportunities that they would otherwise lack. In the same year, the DSHA won the MIT Solve Award for Social Innovation.
