Cooksafe Project

The Cooksafe Project sought to use education and technology, in the form of more efficient and less polluting climate-smart cookstoves to improve the health, livelihoods and working environment of 300 women food processors from 10 groups in the Kwaebibirem district, improve their knowledge in climate change, clean cooking, business, and leadership skills and capacity to advocate.

By implementing an awareness and education program we sought to make these women groups to understand the harmful effects of current cooking technology being used on their health, climate and the environment, and demonstrate alternatives.
