Swimming for Inclusion / Equality for disabled persons

In Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), people with disabilities are often economically and socially excluded on a much larger scale than those in Western Europe. In 2015 Swimming Club “SPID” was established with one mission to work on rehabilitation, resocialization, and inclusion of disabled people in society through water sports. It is the first club of its kind in BiH, and it's unique. Since its establishment over 200 children with mental and physical disabilities have been enrolled in a swimming school free of charge. Today, those children break taboos and are an inspiration in BiH as well all over the world.
