SETECH is a social enterprise that employs women and youth to tackle the environmental issue of waste and deforestation by designing, producing and distributing cook safe stoves that use agro-waste (corn/rice husks and stems, coconut shells and husks, palm kernel shells, etc.) or bio-degradable waste as fuels for cooking. These wastes are transformed into briquettes and pellets that promote good health, economic growth, and skill development. the skills and knowledge gained are transferred onto others, thereby creating empowerment and positive change towards the environment.
