Small Farms Senegal / Agroecology, rural development

Since April 2018, SOL and the Villagers of Ndem NGO have worked together to create an agroecological demonstration and training farm in Mbacke Kadior village in Senegal, as a model for the Sahel. It responds to the urgent challenges of food sovereignty and security, rural employment and preservation of the biodiversity and environment. The project includes participatory experimentations and dissemination of the successful agroecological techniques through training of 200 small farmers and sharing of experiences, as well as sensitization activities about agroecology and the crucial role of farmers for 750 kids and at least 1200 visitors a year
