Economic and social growth of communities in South Kenya largely depends on agriculture. Our activities increase capacities of local communities to improve livelihoods in the context of climate change and poor water availability.
Communities gain sustainable access to water by building sand dams and solar water distribution systems. This, together with trainings on farming techniques suitable for the local climate, increases the agricultural efficiency and local entrepreneurship. To enhance their resilience to climate change, communities receive trainings and conduct mapping of environmental hazards and prepare community action plans.
