SimpleFuture / financial service design

SimpleFuture is a proactive financial system that returns Unclaimed Property to the rightful owners. Only 4.5% of the $60B Unclaimed Property is returned every year in the US. We worked with the Massachusetts Unclaimed Property division to design a collaboration between the government and commercial banks. The banks send notification to end-users with Unclaimed Property, and claim on users’ behalf under authorization. Our design brings financial value to citizens, improved customer relationship to banks, and better service to the government. What makes SimpleFuture unique is that we introduced high incentive stakeholder into a complex system.
