A Sustainable School in Mar Chiquita, Argentina / Argentina’s first sustainable public school

Our sustainable school was built in 2018 by NGOs Amartya and Tagma using principles of Earthship Biotecture, which eliminate environmental impact and operative costs, facilitate active learning, and inspire sustainable innovation. Constructed from natural and repurposed materials, it collects, recycles, and repurposes renewable resources to provide air conditioning, energy, water, sanitation, and food production in a circular, organic nature mirroring that of our planet. It is an educational space and a replicable model made in 45 days by 250 volunteers. In one year it received 30k visitors and inspired 200 similar projects in Latin America.
