Low-cost water filter (Nanofilter) for Impact / Employment creation for youth and women

Low-cost water filter (Nanofilter) is an invention from Tanzania that increases access to clean and safe water to reduce water bone diseases; and its inventor, a Tanzanian - Dr. Askwar Hilonga, is determined to impact millions of lives. By April 2020, Nanofilter has received 17 awards while making impact to more than 250,000 people and created 90 employments to youth and women. Nanofilter is unique because it target specific contaminants in water – thus it is customized to each geographical area. Nanofilter removes water contaminants including bacterial and chemical contaminants like fluoride which is a huge challenge along the Rift Valley
