Empowering Rural Communities Through Fair Markets / Market Linkage, Economic and Gender Inclusion

JITA operates the largest last-mile distribution network in Bangladesh that facilitates supply of quality packaged consumer goods that promote better health, hygiene and nutrition. JITA’s supply chain comprises of two distinct channels; micro-entrepreneurs running stockist points as ‘Hub Managers’ and women conducting door-to-door sales as ‘Aparajita’ (Bengali for “women who do not accept defeat"). By promoting inclusive entrepreneurship opportunities, JITA is addressing the lack of formal employment in rural communities. JITA currently reaches 17 million rural consumers by engaging 400+ micro-distributors (JITA Hubs) and 20,000+ retailers.
