Rocky Mts. Forest Project

The Forest Project is a forest-monitoring citizen science project in Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP). I conducted field research in subalpine forests of RMNP. My research is part of an ongoing project in which student citizen scientists collect and analyze data to monitor changes in forest composition over time. Scott Esser, an ecologist who works for the National Park Service, was able to use my group's research to contribute to his data portfolio of ecological changes in RMNP. Students were tasked with developing a research paper analyzing the ecological and environmental drivers responsible for changes in tree species composition.
