Tadrees Bamboo School / A school for street children

Tadrees Bamboo School
Tadrees Bamboo School

Tadrees Bamboo School was designed and constructed for street children after a two month long donation campaign and construction process carried out simultaneously under my green start-up called 'Archlore'. The school is made entirely out of bamboo on an area of 250 square yards and is now run by an NGO. The purpose of building this in bamboo was to showcase the potential of this eco-friendly and cost effective material which is otherwise neglected in our society. Today the playful design and colors are a source of joy for more than 80 street children gaining access to free education in the first jungle-gym themed bamboo school of Karachi.
