Community volunteers are trained equipped and monitored to deliver free education to out-of-school children using scripted teacher guides and children's workbooks. The highly interactive material serves children aged 7-19 years and aims to bring them to a level where they may be entered into formal schooling. If that is not possible, they will be at least able to read, write and calculate, equipped to make decisions, and be less vulnerable and more employable. The curriculum was designed in South Africa and is relevant to African children. Teaching can happen anywhere that a group can meet safely. We have successful projects in 6 countries.
