Prosthetic Hand for Refugee Amputees / Affordable 3D printed hand for refugee amputees

Among the 1 million Syrian refugees in Lebanon, a relatively high number of people in injury and disability (2.7%), and we assume that around 0.5 percent of the total refugees will have upper-limb extremity amputation (5,000 pp).

A legacy myoelectric hand costs USD 45K. Therefore, none of the amputees affords to have the myoelectric hand. Mand.ro hand is not only low-cost but also light-weight, fully-functioning.

Mand.ro would like to provide our prosthetic hands to enable a better life for amputees, while we also set up our self-sustainable workshop in Lebanon which will provide a basis of continuous support for the vulnerable amputees.
