SEPT was implemented in 6 villages and 11 primary schools in Kamsar mining area with the aim to educate people in reforestation and community health. More than 250 improved cook-stoves were distributed to reduce pressure on natural resources, 15000 trees were transplanted in public places, and degraded areas like mangroves and fallows, and 20000 people were reached. SEPT served additionally to reinforce social cohesion, community involvement in decision-making regarding local development, and to preserve more than 40 hectares of mangroves from deforestation.
