Ardú / Women's education in DP

Asylum seekers in the Irish Direct Provision system have extremely restricted access to education and employment opportunities. Their qualifications are not recognised within Ireland so they cannot work in their field and cannot afford to go back to further education. Ardú is a free online platform that provides courses for women and connects them to Irish professionals who act as mentors. Mentors meet with their mentees three times throughout the duration of the course, providing advice and feedback on their work. When the course is completed, the mentors become a point of reference on the mentee's CV, progressing access to Irish industry.
