The population of 50 million red crabs start their annual migration to the sea to spawn. Thousands of adults and young are crushed by vehicles while crossing roads. Conservation measures have been implemented to help reduce this high death toll. So on the roads that are kept open authorities put up special fences to act as a barrier to keep the crabs off the road. But the fence barriers on the sides of the roads get damaged by falling trees.
These problems will be solved with a permanent and durable fence.
