VIATU / Easy Shoemaking Method for Tungiasis

VIATU
VIATU

Tungiasis is a disease raging through Africa and the prevalence rate is about 60% in some countries. Millions of people suffered from the pain because of the unprotected skin, directly parasitized by the hidden flea on the ground. This disease harms terribly but easily to prevent——the only things it needs is a pair of well-covered shoes. However, in some poverty areas, many people can’t even afford a pair of shoes.
VIATU means shoes in the Africa language. It is a self-sufficient shoemaking method that local people can use accessible material, such as excessive second-hand clothes and invalidated tires, to make shoes for themselves easily.
