Pregnessence / Smart scent delivery necklace for pregnancy

Studies have shown that releasing scent during childbirth can significantly decrease labor pain and may also decrease nausea, vomiting, headaches, hypertension, and pyrexia. Breathing and relaxation techniques in preparation for childbirth help reduce the risk of assisted vaginal births and reduce anxiety. Therefore, we created a wearable scent delivery device that can be worn as a necklace during labor and while giving birth. The device releases smell based on the heart rate, breathing, and contractions of the mother. It releases bursts of scent in a calming pattern to unconsciously guide breathing and increase relaxation during labor.
