One of the most dramatic technological developments of the past two decades is that of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones. They are already used in a wide variety of scenarios, and the prognosis is that we will see a lot more of them in future. Up to now, one of the main limitations of this technology is the problem of power endurance. This is particularly important where UAVs are conceived as delivery vehicles. If transporting goods to a remote mountainous area, the concern is that the drone will not have enough power for the return journey. The drone air station was designed to solve this problem. It allows UAVs to be recharged wirelessly from the air station solar panels. If enough of these stations were installed around the world, there would be no limit to how far these babies could go.

Hopefully this program will be realized one day. Thank you very much for recognizing our project with the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD. This gives us the chance to gain further publicity and recognition for our work, and motivates us to try even harder.
