Most of the marine plastics distribution is offshore, and over 90% of it is on the sea surface. [SEACULA+E] is Buoys, designed to remove marine plastics on the sea surface. This buoy is mostly made of palm activated carbon, making it harder than conventional styrofoam buoys. The adsorption power of activated carbon and the internal structure of the Voronoi pattern work together and they make it possible to remove all plastics from the size used in everyday life to microplastic. As palm activated carbon has a character that is reusable after heat treatment, we designed our product to be easily disassembled to facilitate heat treatment.
