In market, fresh food looks pretty without any hurt. In the course of production and distribution process, producers select only those that meet distribution standards from overproduced products and discard the rest. In fact, out of the total food waste, $20 billion worth of food waste is dumped on farms. Those discarded are ugly fresh food, which tastes the same, but looks different. To reduce food waste, it is important to increase the demand of ugly fresh food. Therefore, I wanted to change consumer's perception of Ugly Food naturally by interestingly designing the consumer's consumption process and eating the experience of Ugly Food.
