How do congenitally blind know “colour” without the impression of visual information?
Haptic Colour is a series of crayons designed for the blind to select a colour by touching different texture on each pen holder. What an equal communication based on is everyone expressing on their perspective, understanding, and real feeling, which is Haptic Colour offers. Touching different texture will bring various awareness for the blind, and they can choose which crayon to use by their impression of touch. At the same time, it reduces inequity in the colour’s definition for the blind.
