Honorable mention

Meditex is a telemedical textile used for long-term diagnosis and monitoring of coronary patients and risk candidates. Worn directly on the body, the device features individual sensors that continuously and simultaneously measure the patient’s heart frequency, blood oxygen levels, pulse and blood pressure. These values are transmitted to the doctor via a PC-Internet connection or a mobile phone connection. The patient benefits from continuous medical care without needing to spend time in sterile outpatient waiting rooms.
