"The "Simmer Stove" enhances cooking safety based on the use of more effective cooking techniques while paying attention to the needs of an aging population. The stove design is based on the principle of lowering the pot into a recessed opening so that the heat source is separate from the working surface, thus reducing the risk of burns. The deployment of induction technology enhances the efficiency of the Simmer Stove, which can be integrated with conventional cooking surfaces or installed individually.
