Nachklang / Interactive Installations in Public Spaces

In 2005 a place of remembrance for about 6 million murdered Jews was build in the city center of Berlin. Observing visitors behavior at the monument it becomes clear that young people in particular do not understand the significance of the memorial. Young people are missing a personal connection to the Holocaust. For this reason we are re-staging personal stories of witnesses to enable an emotional experience at the Berlin Holocaust Memorial. With real stories as a walk-in sound installation we create a more modern form of remembrance. With every step we take, the sound is changing and new events within the story are being triggered.
