Ocean Tree / Buoy

Ocean Tree
Ocean Tree

Today microplastic in the ocean is destroying the marine ecosystem. Particularly the marine organisms mistake microplastic for food and as they consume the plastic those organisms either die in the ocean or end up being on our plate. To solve this issue we propose Ocean Tree, a buoy that cleans up microplastic in the ocean. It absorbs sea water filled with microplastic and filters out by using pump which uses wave power as energy source. The head part of Ocean Tree has LED that shows amount of microplastic accumulated. When the filter is filled, it can be replaced with new. The Ocean Tree is the sustainable filtering system!
