ANTs / Future Container Handling

ANTs
ANTs

The increasing size of container ships and the demand for higher container throughput creates bottlenecks in our contemporary harbours, but also in surrounding urban areas due to truck traffic overload.

The ANT concept is a system of fully autonomous and electrical cargo handling robots. Instead of using different machines, the units can pick up containers directly from the docked ship and move them to the designated storage area. They connect nearby ports and warehouses while eliminating truck traffic on public streets.
Collectively, the ANTs accelerate the logistic process within and around the harbour in a faster and more sustainable way.
