CROPS BANK / Service

CROPS BANK

There is lack of habit of storing grains and necessary basic facilities for Sub-Saharan African farmers, thus the hunger in dry season is caused due to the waste of goods in rainy season. To help the farmers “store” the foods produced in rainy season for consumption in dry season, CROPS BANK cashes in the foods in rainy season to buy the farmers’ target crops in dry season. The balance in supply of crops in dry and rainy seasons is realized under the circumstance that large-scale infrastructure is not used. Through the form of “stamp”, the farmers’ awareness of storing grains is cultivated , food waste and assistance dependence is reduced.
