A high percentage of open-air defecation exists in India. The government built over 5 million toilets across India, but half of the population still publicly urinate and causes environmental pollution. This study shows that due to old habits or lack of sanitary knowledge those toilets are often left unused. We designed a portable toilet pad to develop the habit of going to the toilet. In rural areas without toilets, primary schools can use a potty training pad to educate children about toileting. Educating children from a young age to understand the importance of developing good hygiene habits. Let open defecation gradually disappear.
