Literacy rate in Pakistan is 58% and is even lower than that if we quantify females’ literacy rate. Al-Mustafa Welfare Society has recently established Khadija Girls College in the poor vicinity of Korangi, Karachi to provide higher education to the girls of that area. As a Science, Arts and Commerce Institute, this college aims to provide higher education to the young girls of the locality. This will help students specialize in the fields of their interest for professional and personal growth. This project will not only impact the students independently, but aims to tackle social issues such as women empowerment through education.
