GetlitNaija / Spoken-Word Poetry Advocacy

GetlitNaija is an online platform to discover new generation of poets, writers, and literary journalists who want to express themselves and hone their craft. We work with the philosophy that ‘everyone is a poet in a way’ and create ways change to the narrative from being poetry is mystic and undecipherable into a form of Art that is fun and attractive, while also lending our voices to address social issues that affect our daily lives.

The first edition garnered over 122 online entries all over the country, with two young female poets emerging winners of the adult and junior categories of the prize money and scholarship.
