Health Promoter Practitioners / Community Health Care Providers

Concern America’s Health Promoter Practitioner training program is a successful, innovative health care model that builds local capacity to provide primary health care services in the most difficult situations. Through a comprehensive training program, community members acquire a depth of knowledge, skills, and an ability to provide health care, in their native languages, at a level comparable to the work of nurse practitioners. In communities located hours from the nearest health center, Practitioners save and sustain innumerable lives by providing services to a population of 250,000 people in Colombia, Guatemala, and Mexico.
