International Vocational Course Center / Increasing Employability of Refugees

Civil war causes death and migration for millions of people in Syria. More than three million people fleed from their country to survive, encounter difficulties in adaption in Turkey who need economic, educational and cultural assistance to keep a life going. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and UNCHR initiated “Vocational Training Course Center Project” together where courses are given at this center according to market needs to increase the employability of refugees in Ankara. Thanks to these efforts, the center became a hub for gaining vocational skills for the ones who has no chance in employment and carries a high risk of poverty.
