PEPERO is a stick type biscuit brand.Its concept is named ‘The Birth of Pepero’, representing Korea’s Pepero Day taking place on the 11th of November. Based on flavors and shapes of products, PEPERO Friends are created which each character having its unique personality. The packaging includes an image of Pepero characters in various poses, Photogenic Frame of SNS, and a signage of 11/11 using biscuit representing the date of Pepero day as well as a shape of birthday cake candles. The characters also reflects one of consumer trends in Korea called ‘Proxy Emotion’, meaning using emojis as an substitute for expressing ones emotions to others.
