Change in terms of sustainability is not only about new content. To become effective, it is also about new and unconventional formats.
In our project SWAP (2017-2019) students from 5 different schools swapped roles with their teachers. The idea of „SWAP“ was developed by students themselves. We took up their idea and designed workshops to enhance the transformational potential of education for sustainable development. In only 2 days, the students were able to develop and execute a training course for teachers. With SWAP we succeeded in implementing an important social environmental issue in the school: the pollution of oceans with plastic.
