Katalemwa supports over 15,000 children with disabilities in Uganda both at the centre and in the communities. 80% of these children require assistive devices namely prosthesis, orthesis, wheelchairs, walkers among others. However children with disabilities originate from vulnerable families that can't afford the cost of these appliances. One child with disability on average requires 3-4 appliances periodically. This project seeks to address the need for assistive devices, to aid participation, build independence and healing for children with disabilities. We plan to support 1000 children with free devices at the center and in the community
