The design team wanted to preserve the original shape of the existing structure as much as possible and simply add functionality inside of the building. A rough but natural finish was used to reveal the ‘bare face’ of the building. Despite the building's relatively small size nestled between high-rise buildings, it feels like a garden in the middle of downtown. To achieve this effect, the designers used a double skin envelope and lighting. The "garden" theme serves as a medium for breaking down boundaries and visualizing concepts. A part of the facade was also removed to expand the space, which created an atypical aesthetic and an unpredictable sensation of scale.
