While Fintech companies have attempted to implement AI for better customer service, existing chatbots have been less than perfect, with a lack of comprehension and incorrect answers given to users. We believed that a chatbot UX design could minimize unsatisfactory answers, and we proved it with the ‘Chatbot Sam’ app. Using an Atomic Design approach, each coded component is designed in a way that it can be combined to fit the question, which naturally leads users to correct answers. ‘Chatbot Sam’ is designed with humanlike features, and provides context-specific feedback, as would a human representative speaking to customers on the phone.
