The “Against Forgetting” campaign was directed against displacing and forgetting the Holocaust. A main characteristic of the campaign is working with the contrast of presence and absence of historical information. In daylight the Citylight-Posters displayed the slogan “Against Forgetting. Shoa.de” at a relatively small size on a mostly empty surface. This way, the posters stressed the danger of forgetting the Holocaust. In the evening, as soon as the Citylight-Posters lit up (back-lit), quotations from the national socialist era became visible. Thus, Shoa.de fulfilled its call “Against Forgetting” again and again.
