“The Greatest Inventions” is part of a title sequence developed for the broadcast-series “ZDF – Our Bests” and raises the question: Which inventions are most important to mankind? A new invention cannot function without the acquired knowledge of former inventions. The concept was realised with a motion-control-camera and shot on 35 mm film against a white background. In an excitingly staged chain reaction the greatest inventions are subjected like a timeline, represented by assorted design objects and motion graphics. The differences in achievement are supposed to animate the viewer to nominate “the greatest invention”.
