Tense conditions in Lebanon lead to conflicts between the Lebanese host society and Syrian refugees. The conflicts contribute to prejudice and discrimination against Syrian refugees. Children are most affected. Sports can make a valuable contribution to society and to the health of children as stress and aggression are reduced. Cultural and social inequalities do not matter. Rather, children are taught about integration and fair play through sports. In this already implemented project kids learn to value and respect each other through playing weekly sports games together, implemented by coaches who were trained in conflict management.
