We -Care project / Reusable pads for women

The We-Care project aims to train 500 internally displaced women and girls on the production of reusable sanitary pads for over a year. These women who are internally displaced due to the armed conflict in Anglophone Cameroon gain skills and each benefit from a pack of reusable sanitary pad that can last for a period of over one year. Targeting the Kumba host community, this project helps in reducing the health risks faced by displaced women and girls from the use of unsanitary materials during menstruation. Most of the women have lost their husbands, homes and livelihood and cannot afford disposable pads monthly.
