Discipline: Communication

The goal of this application is to let visitors to the BMW Group website experience BMW’s automobile production process – from sheet metal blanks to the completed vehicle. The application concentrates solely on representing the process – as close to reality as possible but as abstract as necessary to be generally valid. It is the process that is highlighted – not an individual model or plant. The automobile modeling reflects real construction data, reprocessed and reduced to resemble technical drawings. Space, robots and tools were modeled based on photo and video material.
